Description

This item contains design elements taken from the world of traditional carpentry; a dovetail joint is the main design element that beautifies the furniture. The Japanese Tray was created to give a practical and designed solution to the office desk. All the joint work was done with hand tools – I wanted my handprint to be felt in each of the items. The furniture is built with a combination of wood which exaggerates the beauty of the material and emphasizes the fibres. The handprint of the knife and the cutting tools connect the customer directly to my craft table and the carpenter who created the furniture.
